…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect EBI InterPro MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect EBI InterPro to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
End-to-end protein family classification
Cline uses `search_entries` to find relevant families based on your keywords. It then triggers `get_entry` to pull the full metadata, including Gene Ontology terms and literature counts. This allows you to automate the entire annotation process. Cline compiles the data into your project files, keeping your documentation accurate without manual copy-pasting.
Automated structural cross-referencing
When you need to verify a protein's structure, Cline executes `get_structure` with the target PDB ID. It maps the InterPro annotations onto the PDB data, giving you a complete view of the protein's functional sites. It handles the API calls and formats the output into readable reports. You define the sequence, and Cline builds the analysis.
Proteome-wide domain analysis
Give Cline a proteome ID, and it uses `get_proteome` to generate a summary of domain coverage. It processes the statistics for every protein associated with that organism. This tool is useful for batch-processing large datasets. Cline iterates through the results and flags proteins that match your specific functional criteria.
