How to Use the Elevio MCP in Cline
Turn Cline into a technical writer that pulls Elevio documentation directly into your VS Code workspace.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Elevio MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Elevio to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build help centers from active data
You tell Cline's MCP integration to build a custom help dashboard, and it handles the entire process. It hits `list_knowledge_articles` to grab your existing content structure, then pulls account limits using `get_elevio_account_metadata`. It writes the React components, wires up the API calls, and shows you the working diff. No copy-pasting required. The agent reads the exact content via `get_article_details` and formats it into your new UI. It builds the whole integration end-to-end while you watch the terminal output.
Connect the Elevio MCP Server to your workflow
Managing support docs usually forces you out of your editor. Cline fixes that by running `quick_content_health_audit` to see where your knowledge base is lacking. It instantly checks `list_empty_knowledge_categories` and stubs out markdown files in your repo to fill those exact gaps. You don't have to guide it. The agent sees a missing category, searches your codebase for related features, and drafts the missing documentation. It commits the files and stages them for your review.
Sync module updates with releases
When you ship a new feature, your in-app help needs to update. Cline runs `list_active_modules` to verify your search and ticket widgets are configured correctly. It follows up with `search_knowledge_articles` to ensure the new feature keywords actually return results. If it finds a disconnect, it flags the issue and pulls the latest changes via `list_latest_article_updates`. You get an automated pull request that aligns your code changes with your active support widgets.
