Build LangChain reasoning pipelines

The Eventmaker MCP Server plugs directly into your LangGraph workflows. Your ReAct agent evaluates event traffic by chaining together real-time API calls. It reads the schedule using `list_event_sessions` and feeds that data into the next node. You dictate the logic. If the agent spots low attendance during a keynote, it triggers `quick_event_engagement_audit` to investigate. You track the entire decision path, including token usage and latency, straight through LangSmith.

Audit live event performance

This MCP Server connects to your agent to monitor active venues. Event operations require immediate responses. The agent polls `list_currently_ongoing_events` to find active conferences and pulls their metrics. It then runs `get_event_performance_stats` to grab the high-level numbers. Instead of opening a dashboard, your agent processes the raw data and alerts your team if registration queues build up.

Trace participant check-in logs

Your MCP integration handles massive lists of attendees for access control. Your agent calls `list_event_participants` to grab the manifest. It then cross-references this list against actual scans. It pulls the raw scan data via `list_event_checkins_log`. The agent spots discrepancies like absent VIPs and outputs a clean report for the floor managers.

Setup guide

Set up Eventmaker MCP in LangChain

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • langchain-mcp-adapters + langgraph packages
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install dependencies

    Run pip install langchain-mcp-adapters langgraph langchain-openai. The MCP adapters package converts MCP tools into native LangChain BaseTool objects.

  2. 2

    Connect via HTTP transport

    Use MultiServerMCPClient with "transport": "http" pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create a ReAct agent

    Pass the discovered tools to create_react_agent() from LangGraph. The agent automatically routes Eventmaker tool calls through the MCP protocol.

  4. 4

    Run with any LLM

    Swap ChatOpenAI for ChatAnthropic, ChatGoogleGenerativeAI, or any LangChain-compatible model. The MCP tools work identically across all providers.

agent.py
from langchain_mcp_adapters.client import MultiServerMCPClient
from langgraph.prebuilt import create_react_agent
from langchain_openai import ChatOpenAI

async with MultiServerMCPClient({
    "eventmaker-mcp": {
        "transport": "http",
        "url": "https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp",
    }
}) as client:
    tools = client.get_tools()

    agent = create_react_agent(
        ChatOpenAI(model="gpt-4o"),
        tools,
    )
    result = await agent.ainvoke({
        "messages": "List recent Eventmaker transactions"
    })
    print(result["messages"][-1].content)

Common questions about Eventmaker MCP in LangChain

Install `langchain-mcp-adapters` and `langgraph`. You initialize the `MultiServerMCPClient` with your Eventmaker endpoint URL. Call `client.get_tools()` and pass the resulting array to your agent constructor.
Yes. Your agent decides the order of operations based on intermediate outputs. It might pull `list_all_events` first, extract the target event ID, and then pass that ID into `list_event_exhibitors` automatically.
Every MCP tool execution registers in LangSmith. You see the exact inputs your agent passed to `get_event_detailed_data` and the raw JSON response returned by the server.
You write the pagination logic into your chain. The agent receives the initial batch from the API and must explicitly request subsequent pages if the total count exceeds the limit.
The server runs inside an ephemeral V8 Isolate sandbox on Vinkius. When your agent accesses PII like names and emails through `list_event_participants`, the data routes through a zero-trust channel. The sandbox destroys itself after execution, leaving no persistent footprint.
