Generate code with real Census FIPS data in Cursor
`get_census_block_by_lat_lon` queries the government database to return Census Block FIPS codes for your exact coordinates. Cursor uses this tool in Agent mode to insert real geographic identifiers directly into your active code files. Instead of writing mock data, your agent pulls actual US Census blocks to test your geolocation functions. This ensures your code works with real-world geographic structures before you even run a test suite.
Identify telecom boundaries directly in your editor
`get_fcc_areas_by_lat_lon` retrieves CMA, PEA, and EAG boundaries intersecting your target coordinates. Cursor runs this tool to verify licensing zones without requiring you to switch to a web browser. The agent processes the raw boundary arrays to help you write accurate spatial logic. You get precise regulatory regions mapped to your coordinates instantly.
Connect the FCC Geo MCP Server to your project
The FCC Geo MCP Server integrates into your workspace by adding a simple block to your `.cursor/mcp.json` file. Your agent gains immediate access to the public FCC endpoints. This setup avoids the need for external authentication libraries or local API keys. Your development environment stays clean while gaining live spatial query tools.
