Resolve Census Blocks across your team in VS Code Copilot
`get_census_block_by_lat_lon` converts latitude and longitude coordinates into US Census Blocks, counties, and FIPS codes. By committing the configuration to your repo, every developer using VS Code Copilot gets immediate access to this geographic mapping tool. Your agent uses this tool to analyze spatial data directly in the editor. This eliminates coordinate-mapping discrepancies across your engineering team by standardizing on a single public data source.
Query FCC telecom zones in your workspace
`get_fcc_areas_by_lat_lon` pulls CMA, PEA, and EAG boundaries intersecting your specific coordinate points. VS Code Copilot calls this tool to help you build telecom compliance features without leaving your code files. The tool returns the exact regulatory zones defined by the FCC. This allows your team to write and verify spatial logic based on actual government boundaries.
Deploy the FCC Geo MCP Server with no credentials
The FCC Geo MCP Server requires zero authentication, making it safe to distribute in shared configurations. Your team configures it once in `.vscode/mcp.json` and starts querying immediately. Because there are no private API keys to leak, you can commit the configuration directly to your Git repository. Every developer gets instant access to the coordinate lookup tools without onboarding friction.
