…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Figshare MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Figshare to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automate research data staging in Windsurf
Cascade handles the heavy lifting of dataset preparation by executing `create_private_article` and `initiate_file_upload` in a single flow. You define the metadata, and the agent maps it to your repository requirements. Stop manually clicking through web forms to archive your findings. Windsurf detects your local data structure and triggers the necessary API calls to get your files securely into Figshare.
Sync metadata and articles with Windsurf
Keep your documentation accurate by using `update_article` to push changes directly from your codebase. It ensures your repository records reflect your latest analytical results. Your AI agent maintains the link between your code and the published dataset. When you update your research findings, the server pushes those changes to the article metadata automatically.
Discover and reference data inside Windsurf
Use `search_articles` and `list_public_projects` to pull existing research context directly into your current project window. You can browse institutional outputs without switching contexts. This makes referencing established datasets as simple as querying a local database. The agent pulls the relevant article details, allowing you to cite or build upon existing work immediately.
