How to Use the FileStack MCP in Windsurf
Let Windsurf chain media tasks automatically using the FileStack MCP Server.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect FileStack MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect FileStack to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automate media pipelines with Windsurf
Stop manually resizing assets or checking image safety. Cascade can use `upload_from_url` to grab raw files and immediately pass them to `get_sfw_status` or `get_image_tags` without your intervention. This MCP Server lets your agent handle entire media workflows in one go. Cascade sequences these tools to ensure every file meets your standards before it hits your production bucket.
Process video assets without leaving Windsurf
Trigger complex video conversions using `start_video_transcode`. You just provide the source, and the agent monitors the job progress using `get_video_status` until the task finishes. Handling media in your IDE saves you from switching contexts or writing custom polling logic. Let the agent manage the job lifecycle while you focus on the actual code.
Extract data from documents inside Windsurf
Turn scanned docs or images into usable text using `get_ocr`. Once the content is extracted, Cascade can refine the data or format it for your application requirements. You can also pull detailed file data using `get_metadata` to verify formats or file sizes. This gives your agent full visibility into your media inventory without leaving your workspace.
