Sync team meetings with VS Code Copilot

Commit your MCP config to the repo so every dev sees the same meeting logs. Use `list_transcripts` to let your team query past syncs for technical specs. It stops the 'who said what' game. Everyone works from the same source of truth found in the transcripts.

Automate meeting Q&A in VS Code Copilot

Use `create_ask_fred_thread` to query specific technical decisions made during recorded meetings. It lets you pull the exact rationale for a feature request directly into the chat. Your team spends less time documenting and more time building. It keeps the context fresh for every developer on the project.

Manage meeting titles in VS Code Copilot

Keep your project documentation clean by calling `update_meeting_title` when a meeting topic shifts. It keeps your transcript library searchable for the whole team. Consistent naming makes it easier to find old meetings using `list_transcripts`. It keeps your development workflow tidy.

Setup guide

Set up Fireflies.ai MCP in VS Code Copilot

Prerequisites

  • VS Code 1.99 or later with GitHub Copilot extension
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP configuration

Open the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P / Ctrl+Shift+P) and run "MCP: Add Server". Select HTTP (Streamable) as the server type. VS Code will create .vscode/mcp.json in your workspace.

  2. 2

    Add the Fireflies.ai MCP

Paste the JSON snippet shown on the right into your .vscode/mcp.json. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Switch to Agent mode

Open Copilot Chat (Cmd+Shift+I / Ctrl+Shift+I) and switch to Agent mode using the dropdown. MCP tools are only available in Agent mode — they do not appear in Edit or Ask modes.

  4. 4

    Verify the connection

In the Copilot Chat input, type # to list available tools. You should see the Fireflies.ai tools listed. Try asking: "List my recent Fireflies.ai transactions" and Copilot will invoke them automatically.
