How to Use the GatherUp MCP in Cline
Tell Cline to build a customer feedback dashboard. It will use GatherUp to get the data, write the code, and show you the diff.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect GatherUp MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect GatherUp to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build Live Feedback Components
Cline doesn't just fetch data, it builds with it. Prompt it to "create a React component showing our latest 5-star reviews." Your agent will call `list_online_reviews` to get the latest praise from GatherUp, format the data, and write the actual JSX for the component right in your editor. It's a real time-saver for building out dashboards or marketing pages.
Script Customer Data Management
You can use Cline to automate your backend data tasks. For instance, ask it to "write a script that syncs new users from our database to GatherUp." Cline will generate a Node.js or Python script that uses the `add_new_customer` tool, ready for you to integrate. It handles the API calls and logic, so you can just schedule it as a cron job and forget about it.
Draft & Stage Replies with the Cline MCP Server
This MCP server lets Cline interact with your source control workflow. Find a negative review and tell Cline to "draft a reply to this review and stage the changes." It will use `search_all_reviews` to find the specific feedback, `reply_to_online_review` to generate a thoughtful response, and then stage that text in a designated file for you to review and commit. It closes the loop between feedback and action.
