Build Dashboards with Live GM Data
The `get_vehicle_diagnostics` tool feeds active telemetry into your VS Code environment so Cline can build real applications. You tell the agent to create a React dashboard for your fleet, and it immediately fetches real data using `get_vehicles` to populate the initial state. It does not mock the data—it writes the components using actual JSON responses from your cars. Cline handles the entire integration loop. It pulls `get_odometer` and `get_tire_pressure` readings, writes the TypeScript interfaces for the payload, and stages the git commit. You watch the files update in real time.
Execute General Motors Remote Commands
The `unlock_doors` tool sends a physical unlock signal to the specified VIN directly from your editor. Cline can build admin panels that wire up these physical actions to UI buttons, testing the endpoints as it writes the code. It executes the call, reads the success status, and moves on to the next task. When building security features, the agent can integrate `lock_doors` and `flash_lights`. You get a working prototype of a fleet management tool in minutes because the agent actually tests the remote commands against your test vehicle while coding.
EV Status and MCP Server Navigation
The `get_charge_status` tool retrieves battery levels and charging states for GM electric vehicles like the Bolt or Ultium line. Cline can use this to script automated charging alerts, writing the cron job and verifying the payload structure simultaneously. For logistics apps, the agent calls the routing endpoint. It uses `send_turn_by_turn` to push coordinates to the car's navigation unit. You just review the diffs as Cline builds out the dispatch logic.
