Connect General Motors MCP to VS Code Copilot
Create your Vinkius account to connect General Motors to VS Code Copilot and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Team-wide General Motors MCP Server access
Commit your MCP configuration to the repository to ensure every developer has the same tools. By adding the server to `.vscode/mcp.json`, your team can use `lock_doors` or `start_vehicle` consistently across all machines. This approach removes configuration drift. Every developer on the project interacts with the same vehicle environment, making collaboration on automotive software significantly faster.
Diagnostic data access for General Motors teams
Monitor vehicle health metrics without leaving your editor. Use `get_tire_pressure` and `get_fuel_level` to gather data during development sprints and ensure your code handles various vehicle states correctly. This integration allows your team to perform pre-trip inspections or maintenance scheduling via the Copilot Chat interface. It brings vehicle context directly into your development workflow.
Automated General Motors navigation testing
Test your location-based features by sending coordinates directly to your vehicle. Use `send_turn_by_turn` to push destinations to the built-in navigation system during your testing cycles. This ensures your application logic correctly interfaces with the car's hardware. Your team can verify routing features on actual vehicles rather than relying on simulated environments.
