Build UI layouts with real Getty Images in Cursor
The `search_images` tool lets you pull real image URLs and metadata directly into your Cursor layouts. Stop coding with ugly gray placeholder boxes when running Cursor in agent mode. Your agent can write your React or HTML components and populate them with actual preview URLs from `get_image` on the fly. This MCP server lets you see how the layout handles real aspect ratios and resolutions before you write a single CSS rule.
Automate asset matching in your codebase
The `get_similar` tool queries the API based on an existing asset ID to find matching visuals for your Cursor project. If you are building a media-heavy page and need matching visuals, the agent can use this tool to find assets that match your current design. For bulk operations, the agent can call `get_images_batch` to grab metadata for an entire array of assets at once. This keeps your Cursor agent from making dozens of individual API calls, saving you time when generating mockups.
Safeguard your creative licensing budget
The `search_creative` tool lets you fetch free metadata previews during development to safeguard your licensing budget. High-resolution downloads cost real money, so you should avoid letting the agent call `download_image` automatically. This setup ensures your code uses legally cleared commercial assets without accidentally triggering expensive downloads. When you are ready for production, the agent can generate the exact download links you need.
