How to Use the Giftbit MCP in Cline
Let Cline build automated corporate gifting features using the Giftbit MCP Server.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Giftbit MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Giftbit to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate embedded rewards inside Cline
The `create_embedded_links` tool generates Giftbit reward links that you can embed directly into your own product or emails. Cline calls this tool, captures the Giftbit output, and writes the code to display these links to your users. If you need direct delivery, Cline uses `order_email_rewards` to handle the Giftbit distribution. This Cline integration removes the need to write custom Giftbit API wrappers for every campaign.
Audit your reward history with Cline
The `list_gift_records` tool displays your historical Giftbit digital gift card orders inside the Cline sidebar. Cline reads this Giftbit list to verify which customers received their rewards. You can also query `get_brand_details` inside Cline to check the exact metadata of the cards you sent. Cline formats this Giftbit data into markdown tables for quick internal reviews.
Verify connection status and API health
The `verify_api_connection` tool checks your Giftbit credentials and API key permissions. Cline runs this MCP Server check before executing any large-scale Giftbit reward orders to prevent auth errors. When debugging, Cline uses `check_api_health` to ensure the Giftbit servers are responsive. This keeps your automated Cline gifting features running reliably without silent Giftbit failures.
