How to Use the Givebutter MCP in Cursor
Build donation pipelines and sync scripts using live Givebutter data in Cursor via this MCP Server.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Givebutter MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Givebutter to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Write code with real Givebutter transaction data
The `list_donation_transactions` tool feeds actual financial data directly to your Cursor agent. It writes code that handles real donor transactions instead of using fake mock payloads. You build your custom sync scripts faster. The agent writes tests against real API shapes, which prevents production bugs.
Debug webhooks using the Cursor MCP Server
The `list_donation_webhooks` tool exposes active webhook configurations to your coding workspace. Your agent reads the event endpoints and helps you write matching receiver code. You write the webhook handlers inside Cursor while looking at the exact payload structures. This cuts down on trial-and-error deployment cycles.
Build CRM sync tools
The `sync_donor_contact` tool lets your agent write code that updates donor profiles in real time. It pairs with `list_donor_contacts` to check for duplicates before writing new records. This keeps your custom internal database perfectly matched with your fundraising platform. You write clean, idempotent sync logic in minutes.
