How to Use the Gmail MCP in Windsurf
Cascade chains your Gmail tasks automatically, letting you manage your inbox directly from your Windsurf workspace.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Gmail MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Gmail to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automate inbox searches in Windsurf
Cascade uses `list_gmail_messages` to pull threads based on your specific criteria. You define the query, and the agent locates the exact emails you need to address. This MCP Server lets you skip manual searching. Cascade parses the thread data instantly, saving you from digging through your inbox manually.
Read and label messages with Windsurf
Use `get_message_content` to pull the text of an email into your current context. You can then use `modify_message_labels` to file it away without leaving your code editor. This keeps your workflow focused. Cascade handles the organizational heavy lifting while you stay in your IDE.
Clean up your inbox inside Windsurf
Call `trash_gmail_message` when you need to clear out junk or irrelevant threads. This MCP Server executes the action immediately upon your request. Your inbox stays tidy without browser switching. Cascade performs these deletions in the background while you keep writing code.
