Automated barcode lookups in Windsurf
Cascade handles the heavy lifting when you need to pull product data. Instead of manually querying, you just point your agent at a barcode and let it run `get_product_by_code` to populate your local database records. Your agent parses the returned JSON objects directly. It chains the data into your existing codebase without you needing to write a single line of boilerplate code.
Deep brand and category metadata
You can ask the agent to map out the hierarchy of your inventory. By calling `get_brand_details` and `get_category_details`, Cascade builds a context-aware structure of your catalog. This gives your agent the specific brand relationships it needs to answer complex inventory questions. It keeps your code aligned with the official manufacturer taxonomies.
Real-time Go-UPC health monitoring
Never guess if the data source is live. Cascade uses `check_api_status` as a pre-flight check before initiating any long-running bulk synchronization tasks. If the connection flags, the agent halts before it starts. This prevents half-finished data imports and keeps your audit logs clean.
