How to Use the Google Analytics MCP in Cline
Let Cline query GA4 metrics, write your dashboard code, and verify the data inside VS Code.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Google Analytics MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Google Analytics to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Let Cline write and test your GA4 dashboards
Cline uses `run_report` and `get_metadata` to understand your GA4 schema and write matching TypeScript interfaces. The agent then builds the React components, inserts the live data, and runs unit tests. You get a fully functional analytics dashboard without copying a single JSON payload. It handles the entire implementation.
Direct funnel and user analysis inside VS Code
With `run_funnel_report` and `get_user_activity`, Cline analyzes conversion drops directly inside VS Code. The agent pinpoints exactly where checkout flows fail and inspects individual event streams. You find the bug in your code and the proof in your analytics simultaneously. No context switching required.
Verify API compatibility with this MCP Server
This MCP Server gives Cline access to `check_compatibility` so the agent can validate dimensions and metrics before generating code. It checks if your custom dimensions work with `batch_run_reports` before writing database schemas. This saves development time and keeps your API quotas clean. You avoid broken builds from invalid API queries.
