How to Use the Guru MCP in Cursor
Feed real Guru card data directly into your Cursor agent to write code with accurate context.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Guru MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Guru to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject Real Guru API Schemas into Cursor
Stop writing code against outdated, guessed API stubs. Cursor reads live documentation using `get_card_details` to understand your internal system architectures while you write code. Your agent pulls down the exact markdown content from your cards to generate typed interfaces. You get accurate code that matches your team's actual production specifications.
Document Code Directly to Guru from Cursor
Writing documentation is easier when you don't have to leave your editor. Tell your Cursor agent to run `create_knowledge_card` to document a new service you just finished building. The agent can also query your existing boards with `list_knowledge_boards` to find where the new card belongs. Your wiki stays updated as fast as you commit code.
Audit Workspace Membership via MCP Server
When onboarding new developers, you need to know who has access to what codebases. Cursor uses this MCP Server to trigger `list_workspace_members` and verify team permissions directly from your sidebar. The editor queries your workspace structure using `list_knowledge_collections` to match team members with their respective boards. This keeps your internal access control clean without manual checks.
