Terminal-driven habit logging with Claude Code

This MCP Server brings your daily routines directly to the command line. You can pipe terminal outputs straight into `add_habit_log` to automate your Habitify tracking during builds or deployments. Claude Code runs headlessly, letting you update your Habitify logs without leaving your terminal session or opening a GUI. It makes tracking your technical habits completely frictionless.

Scripted Habitify progress audits

Automate your review cycles by querying your Habitify history directly through shell scripts. Claude Code uses `get_habit_stats` and `list_habit_logs` to output clean raw data. You can feed this data into other CLI utilities or save it to local files. It gives you a fast, scriptable way to monitor your personal metrics inside the Claude Code environment.

Headless Habitify routine organization

Manage your Habitify list without a web browser. Claude Code uses `list_habits` to display your active routines and `update_habit` to modify them on the fly. If you need to categorize your goals, `list_areas` lets you sort them by workspace or project. It keeps your Claude Code terminal environment organized and focused.

Common questions about Habitify MCP in Claude Code

Run the `claude mcp add` command in your terminal, specifying the transport protocol and your Habitify server details. This registers the server inside your local `~/.claude.json` configuration.
Yes, you can trigger Claude Code to run `add_habit_log` inside your scripts. This is perfect for logging a Habitify habit every time a build succeeds or a deployment finishes.
No, the server requires an active internet connection to sync tools like `get_journal` with your Habitify account. However, all configuration files remain stored locally on your machine.
Ask Claude Code to fetch your daily list. It will call `get_journal` and print a clean, text-based Habitify checklist directly in your terminal window.
Your API tokens and Habitify habit logs are stored in your local configuration files with strict user-only read permissions. Claude Code never sends this sensitive data to external third-party servers.
