Multi-agent debate on HackerOne reports

One agent suggests a `change_report_state` action based on its triage analysis. Another agent challenges the decision, forcing a review of the report details. This prevents hasty closures. You build a system where the final decision to resolve a report is reached through debate between specialized agents.

Negotiate bounties using AutoGen

An agent proposes an award amount based on severity, while a budget agent reviews `list_payments` to ensure compliance. They discuss the final payout. This removes bias from your financial decisions. The agents use `award_bounty` only after they agree that the internal criteria have been satisfied.

Automate program oversight in AutoGen

Your security agent monitors `list_programs` for changes in scope. If it detects a new asset, it alerts the team for manual review. It keeps your program configuration up to date without human intervention. You create a loop where agents constantly check the API and update your internal state.

Setup guide

Set up HackerOne MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes HackerOne tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="HackerOne_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent HackerOne data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

Common questions about HackerOne MCP in AutoGen

Install the extension, configure your server endpoint, and pass the tools to your AssistantAgent. The adapter handles the schema mapping automatically.
Yes. Agents pass report context and tool outputs to each other during the conversation. This allows them to build a shared understanding of a security issue.
The server uses a zero-trust model. All communication is scoped to your specific API token, and no data is cached between agent sessions.
You decide the policy. You can set up a human-in-the-loop agent that reviews all `award_bounty` calls before they are executed against the API.
It operates in an ephemeral V8 sandbox. Each request is isolated, and the server does not store credentials or sensitive API traffic beyond the current transaction.
