Automated report triage via Google ADK

Your agent pulls report data into your Google Cloud environment using `list_reports`. It processes the findings alongside your existing BigQuery data for context. After analysis, the agent uses `add_report_comment` to update the researcher. This keeps the feedback loop tight without human intervention.

Asset management for Google ADK users

The agent calls `list_assets` to map out your program scope. It verifies if a reported vulnerability falls within your defined attack surface. You avoid wasted cycles on out-of-scope reports. The agent filters the noise before it ever reaches your desk.

Hacktivity tracking in Google ADK

Use `list_hacktivity` to monitor the broader security landscape. Your agent identifies emerging patterns before they hit your program. It connects external intelligence to your internal program status. You stay ahead of trends by letting the agent parse the data streams.

Setup guide

Set up HackerOne MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with HackerOne tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="HackerOne_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to HackerOne tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about HackerOne MCP in Google ADK

Install the package and point your McpToolset to the server URL. It registers all tools for the Gemini model to invoke.
You can use `change_report_state` to transition reports. Just make sure your agent logic includes the necessary conditional checks.
The server uses standard HTTP transports. It remains stable as long as your API token is active and you stay within rate limits.
Yes. You can use a tool_names filter to only expose the functions you need, like `list_programs` or `get_report`.
The MCP server processes report identifiers and vulnerability details directly. No data is cached by Vinkius; it passes through the pipe to your agent.
