Standardize plan data schemas in VS Code Copilot
The `search_plans` tool provides your development team with live marketplace data directly inside VS Code Copilot. Developers write integration tests using real plan payloads, eliminating guesswork about API structures. To map plan benefits, this MCP Server uses `get_plan_details` to fetch full coverage summaries. Your team uses these live payloads to build reliable data-binding layers in your application.
Build network verification tools
The `get_provider_coverage` tool verifies if doctors are in-network directly inside your VS Code Copilot MCP environment. Your team uses this live data to write and debug provider search algorithms without leaving the IDE. For prescription features, `get_drug_coverage` checks if specific medications are covered. VS Code Copilot writes the validation logic using real formulary data, preventing bugs in your pharmacy tools.
Map geographic boundaries accurately
The `get_counties_by_zip` tool resolves ZIP codes to county FIPS codes to ensure accurate local pricing. VS Code Copilot uses this mapping to write precise rating engines that charge users the correct regional premiums. When plans transition between years, your team uses `get_plan_crosswalk` to map old plan IDs to new ones. This ensures your migration scripts run correctly without manual data entry.
