Command Line Customer Context

The `search_customers` MCP tool lets you query your entire user base using filters directly from your terminal prompt. Claude Code fetches the matching profiles so you can check a user's status without opening a browser tab. Digging into specific issues requires exact details. Running `get_conversation_details` dumps the chat transcript into your shell, letting you pipe the output into jq or grep for fast debugging.

Headless HelpCrunch MCP Server

The `update_conversation_status` tool changes ticket states programmatically. You can build a cron job that tells Claude Code to find all stale threads and close them out automatically at midnight. Broadcasting updates takes one command. If a server goes down, your CLI agent can loop through active chats and use `send_chat_message` to notify affected users instantly.

Support Team Auditing

The `list_team_agents` tool outputs your entire staff directory. Claude Code uses this to verify who has active accounts and cross-references it with your identity provider to find offboarding gaps. Checking team assignments happens just as fast. By calling `list_departments`, you can script audits that ensure your MCP setup routes every new product line to the correct support queue.

Common questions about HelpCrunch MCP in Claude Code

Run `claude mcp add --transport http helpcrunch-mcp -- `. Make sure all flags precede the server name to save the config to your `~/.claude.json` file.
It handles bulk actions easily. You can prompt the CLI to find all tickets matching a specific bug using `list_conversations`, then loop through them with `update_conversation_status` to mark them resolved.
It pulls exactly what you ask for. Using `list_messages_in_chat`, it retrieves the thread and outputs it to stdout, which is perfect for piping into local log files.
That is exactly what this setup is for. You can trigger Claude Code inside a GitHub Action to post a release note to a specific support channel via `send_chat_message`.
Your agent tokens and staff directories never persist. Vinkius manages the auth layer ephemerally, meaning the connection drops the second your `list_team_agents` command finishes executing.
