How to Use the Hexometer MCP in Cline
Let Cline use Hexometer to monitor your sites and build performance dashboards from live data.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Hexometer MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Hexometer to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Go from Alert to Code
Cline doesn't just show you data; it acts on it. When your agent pulls recent issues with `list_recent_alerts`, you can immediately tell Cline to start working on a fix. It's all inside your IDE. Imagine getting an alert from `check_page_errors`. Your next prompt is: "Cline, create a ticket for this error and assign it to the front-end team." It's a completely different way of working.
Build Dashboards with Live Site Data
This is where it gets interesting. Tell Cline, "Build a React component to display our site's uptime." Cline will call the `get_uptime_stats` tool from this MCP server, get the live data, and then write the actual component code. It can do the same for performance. Use `check_speed_desktop` and `check_speed_mobile` to get metrics, then have Cline build a chart component to visualize them. It writes the code, creates the file, and shows you the diff.
Automate Your Pre-Commit Checks with Cline
Don't push broken links or bad SEO. Before you commit, just ask Cline: "Audit this new landing page." It will run `run_seo_audit` and `check_broken_links` for that URL and report back instantly. This tightens your development loop. You're not switching contexts to a browser or another app. You get immediate feedback on site health (`get_site_health`) and security (`get_security_status`) right where you write your code.
