How to Use the Hiveage MCP in Cline
Turn VS Code into a financial backend. Cline uses the Hiveage MCP server to build custom billing dashboards and automate payments.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Hiveage MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Hiveage to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build custom billing portals
Tell Cline to build a client portal in your React app using Hiveage data. It doesn't just write boilerplate. The tool actually queries `list_customers` and `list_invoices` to populate your components with real staging data. Your agent maps the JSON responses directly into your frontend state. It pulls specific transaction histories using `get_invoice_details` and writes the exact TypeScript interfaces you need to render the tables.
Write end-to-end payment scripts
You can ask Cline to write a Node script that reconciles manual transfers for your Hiveage account. It figures out the API requirements, writes the code, and tests it using `list_invoice_payments` to verify the logic. When you need to clear a balance, the MCP server structures the payload for `record_payment`. Formatting the amount, date, and method happens automatically so you don't have to dig through API documentation.
Sync customer profiles
Keep your local database synced with your Hiveage accounting software. Cline can write a cron job that pulls `get_customer_details` and updates your PostgreSQL tables. If a client needs a copy of their latest bill, you just ask the agent to handle it. It finds the document and runs `send_invoice_email`, keeping you entirely inside your VS Code workspace.
