How to Use the Holiday API MCP in Cline
Cline handles your global date logic by connecting the Holiday API directly to your VS Code project files.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Holiday API MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Holiday API to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Cline executes date calculations instantly
Give Cline a task to build a shift-scheduling component. It calls `get_next_workday` to ensure your UI defaults to an actual business day. It writes the logic into your codebase, tests the result, and shows you the diff. No manual coordinate checking is required.
Sync payroll data with this MCP Server
Use `get_workdays_count` to generate reports on billable days for your clients. Cline fetches the exact number of active workdays between two milestones. It updates your documentation or database records based on the returned values. The agent does the heavy lifting while you verify the results.
Localized calendar support for Cline
Ask the agent to support multiple office locations. It uses `list_supported_countries` to identify where it can pull reliable holiday data. It then maps your operational regions to the supported list. This keeps your global app logic consistent and accurate.
