Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Hootsuite MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Hootsuite to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Write code against live Hootsuite profiles in Cursor
The `list_social_profiles` tool pulls live account data straight into your active Cursor editing session. The editor's agent mode reads this schema to write functional integration code that targets real profile IDs instead of static mock data. Developers can run `get_social_profile` to check connectivity states in real time. This lets you debug platform connection issues directly from your terminal panel while writing your custom social apps.
Build media-rich publishing flows with this MCP Server
The `create_media_upload` tool processes your local media assets and prepares them for Hootsuite's upload pipeline. Cursor uses this tool to verify file sizes and MIME types before sending the payload to the publishing queue. Once your media is ready, `create_message` schedules the post for any future timestamp. If your code needs to cancel a queued run, `delete_scheduled_message` handles the cleanup programmatically.
Manage team permissions during development
The `list_organizations` tool retrieves your administrative structure to ensure your code targets the correct brand accounts. Your agent checks this list to map out teams and prevent cross-posting errors. You can also call `list_organization_members` and `list_organization_teams` to verify user roles. This allows your team to test complex permission-based publishing rules directly within the editor.
