Team-wide UX debugging in VS Code Copilot
The Hotjar (Behavior Analytics) MCP Server integrates directly with your team's workspace config via `list_sites` and `list_funnels`. Every developer on your team can query conversion funnels without leaving the editor. Copilot uses this shared access to trace drop-offs back to specific code commits. It identifies which code changes altered the funnel steps and caused conversion drops.
Map layout bugs using actual click heatmaps
The Hotjar (Behavior Analytics) MCP Server pulls visual layout issues into your workspace using `get_heatmap` and `list_heatmaps`. Copilot reads the exact coordinates of rage clicks to identify broken UI components. Instead of guessing why a button fails, the agent looks at the heatmap data. It points to the exact line of code in your active file that blocks the click event.
Connect user recordings to local workspace files
The Hotjar (Behavior Analytics) MCP Server lets Copilot analyze user sessions using `list_recordings` and `list_feedback`. You get a direct line from raw user frustration to your local workspace files. The agent parses the session metadata to identify layout issues. It then highlights the corresponding HTML or React components that need to be redesigned.
