Build Live Timesheet Dashboards in Cline
This Hubstaff MCP Server lets Cline fetch raw billing data using `list_time_entries` and write custom reporting components on the fly. You tell the agent to build a React dashboard, and it pulls the data, creates the file, and hooks up the API. It verifies developer accounts using `get_user` to ensure the UI displays accurate names. You get a fully functional, populated interface without writing a single line of boilerplate.
Map Out Workspace Structures
The MCP integration uses `list_organizations` and `get_project` to let Cline analyze how your workspace is structured. The agent reads this hierarchy to understand the relationship between your high-level business goals and specific code repositories. It uses this context to organize your local files. If a project matches an active Hubstaff folder, Cline aligns your directory structure to match.
Sync Local Code with Remote Tasks
Your agent calls `list_tasks` to pull the active work items for your current coding session. Cline matches your local git branch to these remote tasks to keep your commit messages aligned with your project board. It checks the status of these tasks against the project details using `get_project`. You stay in your editor while the agent handles the alignment.
