How to Use the IPinfo MCP in Cline
Integrate IPinfo into your Cline workflows to automate network investigations and IP classification tasks.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect IPinfo MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect IPinfo to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automated Network Recon with Cline
Cline can now execute `get_ip_range` and `get_asn_details` to verify network boundaries during your build process. It fetches the data and injects the CIDR information into your config files automatically. This removes the need for manual lookups. You define the task, and the agent performs the audit by querying the network infrastructure directly.
Real-time Privacy Audits
Run `get_privacy_details` through Cline to flag users on VPNs or Tor nodes. The agent uses this data to decide whether to trigger specific security protocols in your application code. It acts as an automated gatekeeper. By identifying these connections early, the agent helps you maintain the integrity of your platform without manual intervention.
Self-Service IP Diagnostics
Use `get_own_ip_details` to let Cline understand the environment it is running in. This helps the agent debug connectivity issues by knowing the current server's public IP and ASN. It provides instant context for your debugging sessions. Cline uses this information to resolve issues related to geo-restricted endpoints or regional network policies.
