How to Use the Ironclad MCP in Cline
Cline lets you execute Ironclad contract operations and record lookups directly from your VS Code sidebar.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Ironclad MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Ironclad to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Execute contract workflows in Cline
Cline triggers `ironclad_launch_workflow` to create new agreements based on your project needs. It populates template fields automatically to save you time on data entry. It then tracks the lifecycle via `ironclad_list_workflows`. You see the status of every draft and pending document without leaving your editor.
Resolve approval blockers with your MCP Server
When a deal is stuck, Cline runs `ironclad_get_approvals` to show you the current bottleneck. It identifies the specific approver who hasn't signed off yet. You can also run `ironclad_get_comments` to pull the discussion thread. This shows you the exact legal feedback or counterparty notes attached to the contract.
Query signed contracts within Cline
Search your historical repository using `ironclad_search_records` to find specific counterparties or contract types. Cline fetches the results and presents them in your chat. Use `ironclad_get_record` to view full metadata for any executed document. This gives you quick access to renewal dates and contract values.
