Agentic data access in Cursor
Let your Cursor agent call `count_events` or `sum_property` to base its code suggestions on actual production data. It stops the agent from hallucinating metrics by feeding it real values from your backend. This creates a tighter feedback loop where the code you write is informed by what your users are actually doing. It feels like having a data analyst sitting right inside your editor.
Automated event schema verification
Use `list_collections` and `get_project_details` to let Cursor understand your event structure before writing tracking code. It ensures your implementation matches your existing data architecture. When the agent knows the current collections, it writes more accurate `record_event` calls. You spend less time fixing schema mismatches and more time building features.
Rapid data exploration
Ask Cursor to run `select_unique` or `count_unique` to quickly debug data issues during your coding session. You get the raw data back in your chat window for immediate analysis. Having these tools available as an MCP Server means you don't break flow to check the database. Everything stays within your editing environment, keeping your focus on the task.
