…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Kibana MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Kibana to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Write Code That Interacts with Kibana Saved Objects
This MCP Server uses `get_saved_object` and `find_saved_objects` to feed live Kibana dashboard schemas directly into your Cursor editor. The AI agent reads the exact structure of your visualizations, allowing you to write precise TypeScript interfaces without guessing the JSON layout. As you write Kibana migration scripts in Cursor, the agent pulls real dashboard payloads from your development space. It flags mismatched fields before you commit, saving you from runtime failures.
Scaffold and Test Kibana Alerting Rules in Cursor
The server invokes `create_rule` and `find_rules` to let you define and test Kibana alerting logic directly inside Cursor. You write the rule parameters in your editor, and the agent instantly runs them against your cluster to verify the syntax. If a Kibana rule fails to trigger, you ask the Cursor agent to debug the configuration. It calls `get_rule` to fetch the execution logs and highlights the exact line in your code that caused the mismatch.
Manage Spaces and Security Roles from Cursor Chat
This Kibana MCP integration relies on `create_space` and `create_or_update_role` to configure environment boundaries and access controls inside Cursor. You can scaffold a complete tenant setup script and execute it immediately without leaving your workspace. The Cursor agent calls `list_spaces` to confirm your configuration matches your target Kibana cluster. It ensures your newly generated roles map correctly to the specified spaces before you deploy to production.
