Connect Kitsu MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Kitsu to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Fast Anime Discovery in the Windsurf Editor
The `list_anime` tool queries the Kitsu database to find titles matching specific years, seasons, or categories. Cascade uses this tool to pull metadata directly into your workspace when you ask about specific shows. You do not have to copy-paste synopses or release dates from a browser. Cascade runs `list_manga` to fetch manga details, giving your editor instant access to volume counts and publishing status.
Hands-Free Kitsu Progress Tracking
The `update_library_entry` tool modifies your watch status, episode count, and personal rating for any anime or manga. Because Windsurf chains operations, Cascade can watch your workspace activity and update your progress without you typing a single command. If you start a new show, Cascade calls `create_library_entry` to add it to your planning list. This MCP Server handles the API payload structure so your personal tracker stays updated while you write code.
Direct Profile Inspections
The `get_user` tool pulls public profile data for any Kitsu user to check their library stats and favorite genres. Cascade reads this data over the MCP connection to compare lists or format custom recommendation tables directly in your active files. To keep your own session secure, the `get_current_user` tool verifies your active credentials. This ensures Windsurf only writes updates to your specific account during automated tracking routines.
