How to Use the Knackly MCP in Cline
Cline runs Knackly tasks directly inside VS Code to generate legal documents and update records autonomously.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Knackly MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Knackly to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build automated contract dashboards using Cline
The `list_generated_documents` tool provides direct access to all completed contracts and legal files. Cline reads this list to build live local dashboard components that display generation status. The agent fetches the document metadata, writes the React components, and imports the API data automatically. It then verifies the setup by running local test suites to ensure zero UI bugs.
Generate Knackly records from local codebase files
The `create_data_record` tool allows Cline to parse your local codebase files and extract variables for document creation. This MCP Server allows Cline to call this tool using the parsed parameters to generate legal templates. After running the tool, Cline checks `get_record_details` to confirm all custom fields populated correctly. It then stages the configuration changes directly to your local Git repository.
Verify legal schemas before deploying code
The `list_data_models` tool retrieves the exact configuration of your active document templates. Cline inspects these models to ensure your local code matches the required API schema. If a template changes, Cline queries `list_catalogs` to find the updated parent folder and rewrites your local typescript interfaces. This prevents runtime errors during document generation.
