How to Use the LinearB MCP in Cursor
Inject real engineering metrics into your code generation workflow using the LinearB MCP Server in Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect LinearB MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect LinearB to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Fetch live deployment data in Cursor
Stop relying on stale documentation when you need to know what is running in production. Use `list_software_deployments` to get the latest state of your environment. Your agent uses this data to write code that aligns with the current production reality rather than outdated assumptions.
Report incidents from the Cursor editor
Trigger `record_new_incident` the moment you identify a production issue while debugging. This keeps your incident logs accurate without forcing you to leave your IDE. It ensures that your tracking system captures the exact time and context of the failure as you see it.
Use LinearB metrics for code context in Cursor
Run `query_software_metrics` to pull performance data while you work on architectural changes. It provides the hard numbers you need to justify refactoring decisions. Seeing these metrics in your chat window helps you prioritize code that actually moves the needle on delivery speed.
