Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect LiveKit MCP to Claude Desktop
Create your Vinkius account to connect LiveKit to Claude Desktop and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Control WebRTC rooms directly from your Claude chat
`create_room` instantiates a live video session right when your Claude Desktop client requests it. You don't need to write custom backend glue code to provision WebRTC spaces because the agent handles the API calls directly. If a user gets unruly, tell Claude to run `remove_participant` via the MCP Server to kick them out instantly. You can also query active sessions using `list_rooms` to see who is currently talking on your platform.
Buy and route phone numbers on the fly
`purchase_phone_number` lets you acquire new telephone numbers without leaving your Claude Desktop interface. The MCP agent configures SIP infrastructure on the fly by mapping incoming calls directly to your active WebRTC rooms. You can instruct the agent to run `create_sip_dispatch_rule` to route incoming dial-ins based on PINs. If a call needs to go elsewhere, executing `transfer_sip_participant` moves the active caller to a new URI instantly.
Spin up room recordings with Claude Web
`start_room_composite_egress` initiates a high-fidelity recording of an entire active video session using a web layout. When using Claude Web, you can trigger these recording jobs during live support chats to archive critical meetings. If you only need a single speaker's feed, have the agent call `start_participant_egress` to isolate their audio and video. Stopping the recording is as simple as telling Claude to run `stop_egress` when the meeting wraps up.
