Write mapping code with live LocationIQ data in Cursor
Cursor uses this MCP Server to feed real spatial data directly into your active codebase. Your agent calls `search` to fetch real coordinates, replacing brittle hardcoded test values with live API responses. Instead of writing dummy endpoints, you can let Cursor test your autocomplete logic in real time. The agent runs `autocomplete` to verify how your UI handles partial keystrokes during development.
Build routing algorithms using live directions in Cursor
This integration lets Cursor calculate actual driving routes while you write your navigation logic. Your agent triggers `directions` to pull real-world travel times into your code editor. Why this matters: you don't have to guess route durations during testing. To map out local points of interest, the agent queries `nearby` around specific coordinates. This gives you instant access to actual venue data while building location-based search features.
Generate static maps and get time zones in Cursor
Cursor makes it easy to integrate visual maps into your applications. The agent uses `static_map` to get image URLs, letting you verify map layouts directly inside your coding workspace. Your editor calls `timezone` to get precise offsets, helping you write timezone-aware code without guessing.
