Execute live queries in Cline
Cline uses `run_inline_query` to pull live data for your development tasks. It writes the query, sends it to the API, and processes the JSON response to help you build components that reflect real-time business metrics. This approach removes the manual step of exporting CSVs. Cline performs the data retrieval as part of its standard execution loop, keeping your workflow focused on building rather than data gathering.
Map dashboard assets for development
When you need to reference an existing report, Cline uses `list_dashboards` and `get_dashboard` to pull the structure of your BI assets. It understands how your dashboards are built so it can replicate that logic in your code. This ensures that your front-end components stay aligned with your BI team's definitions. Cline maps the dashboard metadata and uses it to generate accurate, type-safe data structures.
Search and trace data content
Cline uses `search_content` to find specific looks or dashboards across your instance. It quickly identifies where a specific metric lives so you can import the correct data into your project. By using `list_looks` and `get_look`, the agent traces the lineage of your data assets. It verifies the configuration before incorporating it into your build, preventing errors caused by outdated or incorrect metric definitions.
