Connect Looker (Business Intelligence & Data) MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Looker (Business Intelligence & Data) to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate Code with Live BI Context
The Looker MCP Server gives your editor direct access to `run_inline_query` so your AI agent can write code using actual data schemas. You do not have to write code against fake stubs or outdated API documentation. Your agent pulls the exact dimensions and measures from your Looker model to write precise API integrations. This keeps your front-end code perfectly in sync with your data warehouse definitions.
Inspect BI Assets inside Cursor
Running `get_dashboard` and `get_look` inside Cursor lets you audit the exact query logic backing your company's reports. You can quickly verify if a metric in your code matches the official business definition. The editor uses these tools to pull down the underlying JSON structures of your BI assets. Having this context inline makes it easy to refactor data pipelines or debug broken dashboard tiles.
Find and Map Folders and Looks
Navigating your instance is fast with `list_folders` and `list_looks` mapping the hierarchy of your saved reports. You avoid context switching to a browser tab just to grab a folder ID. When you need to locate a specific report, `search_content` scans your entire Looker instance. The tool returns precise metadata targets that you can immediately reference in your code.
