Multi-agent coordination in CrewAI

`get_arrivals` provides real-time train and bus landing times to your specialized CrewAI tracking agents. While one CrewAI agent monitors the landing platform, a second agent tracks flight delays, coordinating the exact pickup window. The agents share memory to update their plans as Lyko arrival times shift. This setup prevents your pickup drivers from arriving too early or waiting around during transit delays.

Autonomous route discovery and mapping

`get_nearby_stops` and `search_stops` allow your research agents to map out local transit options around any coordinate. The CrewAI agent searches for stations, identifies served lines, and passes the stop IDs to the routing agent. The routing agent then calls `plan_trip` to build the final multi-modal itinerary. This collaborative execution ensures your autonomous team finds the most efficient routes without human intervention.

Line route analysis and schedule tracking

`get_line_routes` and `get_line_info` give your analysis agents access to complete stop sequences and operating frequencies. The CrewAI agent parses the transit patterns to identify service gaps or express route variations. This data feeds into your team's planning memory to optimize long-distance travel schedules. Your agents analyze the entire transit network structure before recommending a route.

Setup guide

Set up Lyko MCP in CrewAI

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • crewai package (pip install crewai)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install CrewAI

    Run pip install crewai to install the framework. MCP support is built-in via the mcps parameter.

  2. 2

    Add the MCP URL to your agent

    Pass your Vinkius endpoint directly to the mcps list. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. CrewAI handles tool discovery and caching automatically.

  3. 3

    Kick off your crew

    Create a Crew with your agent and tasks. Call crew.kickoff() — the agent will automatically invoke Lyko tools as needed.

crew.py
from crewai import Agent, Task, Crew

agent = Agent(
    role="Lyko Analyst",
    goal="Access and analyze Lyko data via MCP.",
    backstory="Expert analyst with direct Lyko access.",
    mcps=[
        "https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    ],
)

task = Task(
    description="List recent Lyko transactions",
    agent=agent,
    expected_output="A summary of recent activity",
)

crew = Crew(agents=[agent], tasks=[task])
result = crew.kickoff()
print(result)

Common questions about Lyko MCP in CrewAI

You can pass the server URL directly into your Agent's `mcps` parameter during initialization. For advanced setups, use `MCPServerHTTP` from the `crewai.mcp` package to filter specific tools.
Yes, your booking agent can call `book_trip` once the planning agent confirms the itinerary. The CrewAI agent processes the returned ticket JSON and extracts the QR code for validation.
Your monitoring agent calls `get_network_status` to detect disruptions and writes the alert to shared memory. The routing agent immediately reads this update and adjusts its active journey plans.
Yes, you can use a `tool_filter` in your CrewAI MCP configuration. This prevents your research agent from accessing `book_trip` while allowing full access to `search_stops`.
All transit credentials, ticket details, and geolocation coordinates are processed in memory within zero-trust sandboxes. The server immediately discards these payloads after returning the response to your CrewAI agent.
