Syncing visual paths with Cline's MCP Server integration
The `list_pages` tool feeds your live visual routes directly into Cline. The agent reads this page tree, matches it against your local Next.js folder structure, and automatically writes the dynamic routing files if paths are missing. Cline does not just list the discrepancies. It creates the files, imports the correct React components, and runs local tests to ensure the visual pages resolve correctly.
Visual layout verification and snapshotting
The `get_page` tool fetches the visual layout metadata for a specific route. Cline reads this JSON representation, verifies that all registered visual sections are supported, and uses the MCP tool `create_snapshot` to lock in a visual backup. If the layout contains components that are not present in your local codebase, Cline flags the missing code and writes the scaffolding to make the page render.
Redirect and hostname configuration audit
The `list_redirects` tool retrieves the URL routing rules defined in the visual editor. Cline pulls this data alongside `list_hostnames` to write redirects directly into your Next.js configuration files. This prevents routing conflicts between the visual builder and your hosting provider. The agent reviews both configurations, writes the code changes, and stages the commit in your repository.
