Connect ManyChat MCP to CrewAI

Create your Vinkius account to connect ManyChat to CrewAI and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.

GDPR Free for Subscribers

Agents research subscriber history.

Assign a researcher agent to run `find_subscriber_by_name` or `find_subscriber_by_email`. The agent pulls the exact profile and reads the user's past interactions. This data moves into shared memory. The agent then calls `get_subscriber` to analyze specific custom fields, handing off a complete profile to the next agent in your crew.

Update fields across the crew.

Your data-entry agent takes the researcher's findings and executes `set_custom_field`. It writes calculated lead scores or preference data directly back to the database. To keep segments clean, it also runs `add_tag` or `remove_tag`. The crew coordinates these updates sequentially, ensuring no tags are applied out of order.

Trigger ManyChat MCP Server flows.

Execute `trigger_flow` to push subscribers into the correct sequence based on conversation state. A moderator agent watches the context and decides exactly when to act. Before acting, it calls `list_flows` to review available automation paths. The agent routes the user autonomously, bypassing the need for manual support intervention.

Setup guide

Set up ManyChat MCP in CrewAI

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • crewai package (pip install crewai)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install CrewAI

    Run pip install crewai to install the framework. MCP support is built-in via the mcps parameter.

  2. 2

    Add the MCP URL to your agent

    Pass your Vinkius endpoint directly to the mcps list. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. CrewAI handles tool discovery and caching automatically.

  3. 3

    Kick off your crew

    Create a Crew with your agent and tasks. Call crew.kickoff() — the agent will automatically invoke ManyChat tools as needed.

crew.py
from crewai import Agent, Task, Crew

agent = Agent(
    role="ManyChat Analyst",
    goal="Access and analyze ManyChat data via MCP.",
    backstory="Expert analyst with direct ManyChat access.",
    mcps=[
        "https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    ],
)

task = Task(
    description="List recent ManyChat transactions",
    agent=agent,
    expected_output="A summary of recent activity",
)

crew = Crew(agents=[agent], tasks=[task])
result = crew.kickoff()
print(result)

Common questions about ManyChat MCP in CrewAI

Pass the Vinkius endpoint URL directly into your agent configuration using mcps=["https://..."]. The framework automatically discovers all available tools.
Yes. You can use the tool_filter in MCPServerHTTP to restrict tools. Give the researcher access to get_subscriber and the actor access to trigger_flow.
Your agent will typically call list_tags first. It reads the available taxonomy, selects the appropriate string, and then applies it.
The crew can handle it. If search tools fail, an agent configured for onboarding can automatically execute create_subscriber to build a new profile.
Extremely secure. Vinkius operates purely as an ephemeral relay. We proxy the search queries and subscriber records in a temporary sandbox that evaporates milliseconds after the tool executes.
