Generate analytics dashboards end-to-end.

Connecting the MCP server lets Cline run `list_campaigns` to understand your current marketing structure instead of making you read API docs. You just tell the agent what you need built. Then it writes the actual component code. To populate the charts, Cline calls `get_call_analytics`, formats the JSON response, and wires it into your frontend.

Inspect routing logic via the Marchex MCP Server.

Cline brings data to your editor by using `search_calls` to find recent activity for a specific endpoint. Troubleshooting a misconfigured tracking number usually means switching between your code and a web portal. If a call failed, it pulls `get_call_details` to see the exact metadata. Cline then checks your local routing logic, finds the bug, and stages a commit to fix it.

Script account audits automatically.

Ask your agent to generate a weekly summary report, and Cline hits `list_accounts` to get the roster. Writing scripts to audit client usage is tedious manual work. It follows up with `list_users` to map access levels across the organization. The agent writes the Node script, tests it against the live data, and saves the file to your workspace.

Common questions about Marchex MCP in Cline

Open the Cline sidebar and click the MCP Servers icon. You can use the Remote Servers tab to add the endpoint URL directly.
Yes. Tell it what metrics you care about. It will fetch the data and write the actual code to generate the report.
No. The MCP server operates autonomously. It will chain multiple read operations together to gather context before presenting you with a finished file or analysis.
The agent reads the error response from the tool. It will adjust its parameters and try the request again without needing your intervention.
The connection relies on a zero-trust architecture. Cline only reads the specific campaign IDs and metrics requested, and the ephemeral sandbox guarantees no persistent storage of your telecom analytics.
