Feed Call Analytics to Google ADK Agents

The Marchex MCP Server exposes `get_call_analytics` and `search_calls` to let Gemini models analyze offline conversation trends. Your enterprise agent pulls raw call data and correlates it with marketing spend in your existing cloud database. Using the long-context window of Gemini, the agent can process thousands of call records returned by `get_call_details` in a single run. This lets you identify patterns in customer behavior without chunking the data.

Audit Campaign Budgets with MCP Server

Running `list_campaigns` and `get_campaign_details` inside your Google ADK workflow allows your agent to monitor active tracking numbers. The agent compares incoming call volume against your advertising budget to flag underperforming channels. You configure this by passing the Vinkius URL to `StreamableHttpServerParameters` and adding the toolset to your `LlmAgent`. You can also use the `tool_names` filter to expose only the specific campaign tools your agent needs.

Manage Tracking Numbers via Google ADK

This MCP Server uses `list_numbers` and `get_number_details` to give your cloud agents full visibility over your phone inventory. The agent checks which tracking numbers are active and matches them to specific marketing campaigns. Since the ADK integrates directly with Google Cloud, you can trigger these tool calls based on Pub/Sub events. Your agent can run automated audits of your telephony setup whenever a new campaign launches.

Setup guide

Set up Marchex MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Marchex tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="Marchex_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to Marchex tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about Marchex MCP in Google ADK

Instantiate `McpToolset` with your Vinkius HTTP transport parameters. Pass this toolset into the `LlmAgent` constructor so your Gemini models can access the telephony data.
Yes, your agent can use `get_call_analytics` to pull the data and then write it to BigQuery using standard Google Cloud SDKs. The MCP server acts as the secure bridge to retrieve the raw metrics.
Yes, the toolkit supports both transport methods. For cloud deployments, using the streamable HTTP parameters with your Vinkius endpoint is the recommended approach.
Yes, use the `tool_names` filter in the toolset configuration to exclude `list_users` or `list_accounts` from the tools exposed to the agent.
Your campaign metrics and user profiles are protected by enterprise-grade transit encryption. Vinkius handles the authentication token securely, ensuring your telephony data is never cached or used to train public models.
