How to Use the Meilisearch MCP in Cursor
Build search-driven features in Cursor by calling the Meilisearch MCP Server directly from your codebase.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Meilisearch MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Meilisearch to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject search data into your code
Let the agent call `search_documents` while you write code. You get real results injected into your editor instead of relying on mock data. This workflow ensures your code handles actual production data structures. Use `get_document` to inspect specific items as you define your UI components.
Direct index configuration
Update your index settings using `update_settings` while you work on your data schema. This keeps your search logic and your application code in sync. Changing ranking rules becomes a quick check-and-deploy cycle. You can verify your changes immediately with `get_index_stats`.
Task monitoring for developers
Keep track of background indexing jobs using `list_tasks`. You will know exactly when your document batch is ready for querying. If you run into queue bottlenecks, use `cancel_tasks` to clear pending operations. This keeps your development environment moving without waiting on hung processes.
