Connect Mod.io MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Mod.io to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate game integrations with Cline and Mod.io
The `get_games` tool retrieves the active titles from Mod.io directly into your Cline workspace. Cline reads this Mod.io list, writes the integration code for your target game, and checks the game details with `get_game`. This lets you build Mod.io loading logic without leaving Cline. Cline writes the JSON parsers and setup scripts, then verifies the structure using live Mod.io data.
Automate mod testing and installation
The `get_mod_files` tool fetches the Mod.io file list for Cline to parse. Cline calls this Mod.io tool to grab download URLs, writes a local extraction script, and runs it to install the mod in your test sandbox. If the mod requires a specific version, Cline uses `get_mod_file` to target the correct Mod.io archive. Cline automates the entire download-to-execution Mod.io test pipeline in VS Code.
Manage user profiles and subscriptions
The `get_my_subscriptions` tool pulls your active Mod.io subscriptions straight into Cline's workspace context. Cline compares this Mod.io list against your local game files to find missing assets or pending updates. Cline keeps your local setup clean by calling `subscribe_mod` or `unsubscribe_mod` as needed. You can ask Cline to sync your local test environment with your online Mod.io profile, and it executes the sync autonomously.
