Connect MongoDB Atlas Vector Search MCP to VS Code Copilot
Create your Vinkius account to connect MongoDB Atlas Vector Search to VS Code Copilot and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Standardize database access in VS Code Copilot
Commit your `mcp.json` to the repository to ensure every developer uses the same `search` and `find` configurations. This eliminates 'works on my machine' issues across the team. Your team can query the same vector collections using identical tool definitions. It keeps the development process consistent and predictable for everyone.
Automate index lifecycle in VS Code Copilot
Use `create_index` to sync your vector search requirements across all developer environments. By managing indexes through the MCP Server, you ensure that every team member is searching against the same dimensions. It removes the friction of manual cluster configuration. Your team spends less time setting up databases and more time building features.
Audit and manage data in VS Code Copilot
The `list_collections` tool provides a shared view of your data structure. It helps your team understand the available collections without needing separate documentation. You can also use `insert` and `delete` to manage your data state collectively. It’s a shared interface for maintaining your database during the development lifecycle.
