Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect MusicBrainz Alternative MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect MusicBrainz Alternative to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automated tagging for Cline users
Cline can now push metadata updates to the registry using `submit_tags`. You tell it which tags to apply, and it generates the required XML payload for you. This keeps your contributions consistent across every release. No more manual form filling when you have a stack of un-tagged files waiting for attention.
Deep entity analysis in Cline
Trigger `lookup_entity` to get the full JSON breakdown of any artist or release. Cline parses these results to build your project structure automatically. It uses `browse_entities` to map out artist discographies. You get a clear view of how releases relate to one another without writing a single line of query code.
Identify pressings with Cline
Use `lookup_discid` to pull data for physical media right from your terminal. Cline reads the output and updates your project manifest accordingly. If you need to verify a specific recording, `lookup_isrc` provides the definitive identifier. It removes the guesswork from your media pipeline.
