…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect MusicBrainz Alternative MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect MusicBrainz Alternative to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build music apps inside Cursor
The `search_entities` tool pulls real production data directly into your editor. You switch Cursor to Agent mode and tell it to fetch real artists instead of writing mock JSON for your tests. The `browse_entities` tool structures relational data right in your test files. If you need to map out an artist's discography, this MCP Server handles the complex graph traversal automatically.
Query complex entity relationships
The `lookup_entity` tool grabs specific records by their exact MusicBrainz ID. You fix bad metadata by relying on strict identifiers while you write your database schema. The `lookup_isrc` tool handles digital tracks while `lookup_discid` handles physical CD rips. You get the exact match every single time you build an ingestion script.
Write collection management scripts
The `add_collection_items` tool lets you build user collection features without leaving your IDE. Cursor can test authenticated endpoints against your test account so you don't break production. The `submit_tags` and `submit_ratings` tools write XML POST logic for you based on actual responses. It goes beyond just lists. The AI drafts complete feedback scripts.
